It was in 1927 when Antonio Balconi, after having studied at the Politecnico University of Milan and obtaining his degree in 1912 at the University of Pavia, an enthusiast of electro-technology, realized there was no specific market for electro-insulators nor were there ready-for-use dielectric materials for specific electrical equipment and designed to meet various industrial needs.
It was then that he founded a company dedicated to the manufacturing and distribution of electrical materials. Fabbrica Isolanti Elettrici Balconi, which still today with its four generations of experience, continues to produce strictly “Made in Italy” products at its historic site in Vimercate in Brianza, Italy. The Company is specialized in the production of flexible insulating sleeves made of braided fiberglass or insulated with silicone, synthetic resins, acrylics, extruded silicone and PVC tubes, cords, ropes, extensible sleeves which are used in areas where extreme temperature resistance is required.
The Company offers a wide range of standard products, readily available even in minimum quantities. They can also satisfy all necessities by producing according to their clients’ specific requirements thanks to their very flexible production lines.
