History and continuity
Founded in 1927 by Dr. Antonio Balconi, after his studies at the Politecnico di Milano and graduation from the University of Pavia, Fabbrica Isolanti Elettrici Balconi was established to develop innovative electrical insulation materials at a time when dedicated dielectric solutions were not yet available on the market.
Over nearly a century, the company has built strong expertise in the design and production of high-performance insulation materials, becoming a reference point for high-temperature and demanding industrial applications.
Today, the products and know-how of F.I.E. Balconi S.r.l. are managed by Balconi Performance, which continues their supply and technical support while maintaining the same quality standards and production flexibility.

Technology and Services for Certified Quality
Over the years, in order to quickly satisfy all customer requirements, we have had to build internal facilities for manufacturing and treating of the braided sleeves and for the preparation of various resins to impregnate and coat the same according to their thickness.
Our Testing and Analysis Laboratory is equipped with all the certified equipment necessary to check the compliance of our products with the specifications required by the reference standards (CEI EN – UL). We can guarantee an ongoing process of control and evaluation of the quality of our products together with the optimization of our production processes, as well as for the testing of new materials destined to be introduced.
On site, we cut all our fiberglass sleeves and tubes to the specific sizes required by our customers.
- All products comply with RoHS3 Directive and subsequent amendments.
- We hold UL Certificate No. E317429 for “Dolph” Insulation Systems.
